Like nomads moving with the seasons in search of what nourishes, we are forever exploring—drawn to practices and products that embody true well-being and inspire. Some are rooted in ancient traditions, others represent the latest in clinical innovation. All, however, shape the way we approach care.

Blue Nomad’s private skin health studio launched in January 2025, in the dead of a cold New York winter (my first in five years!). I had spent months prior curating our product collection without a specific focus, but a consistent thread emerged. Time and again, I was drawn to minimalist, multitasking, sensorial formulas—products that felt intentional and impeccably crafted. This led me to discover brands like LESSE, Arami, 27 Rosiers, Woods_Copenhagen, and Amoln, all now integral to our offerings.

It wasn’t until the project photo shoot day that a theme crystallized. As Mariana styled our meticulously crafted space—one that Silvana and I had spent months designing and building—Scandi Refinement emerged. It was more than an aesthetic; it was an approach. An ethos of ease and intention. With it came the Nordic principles of hygge (cozy well-being) and lagom (balance—never too much, never too little), which have always been anchors to my own understanding of care.

This philosophy extended not only to our product selection but also to our Facial Skin Therapy (ST) protocol. While every treatment at Blue Nomad is custom-tailored, this one embraced a slower, more balanced rhythm, complemented by a seasonal hand treatment featuring Arami’s Ever Balm and Amoln's hand creams in Sisu Bouquet and Museet…all perfect for the dry, cold winter months when our hands need extra care.

It wasn’t planned—but it felt right for our launch curation. Experience this thoughtfully curated selection live: book here to shop this edit during in-studio office hours or at your next treatment appointment.

The Gist: When we launched Blue Nomad’s NYC studio in the midst of a cold winter, I found myself instinctively drawn to minimalist, well-made products and rituals—what I’ve come to call Scandi Refinement. Rooted in hygge (cozy well-being) and lagom (balance), this theme naturally shaped both our launch product curation and Facial Skin Therapy (ST) protocol. Sometimes the most authentic directions emerge without planning.
